The TESS Group began in 2009 as Training Event Safety Solutions, providing training to the event, security and public service industries. Traffic management for the London 2012 Olympic Games and the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, spectator safety at Premier League grounds, and consultancy for Serco's roadside cleansing operations (which won a RoSPA award in 2012) shaped the way we still work: on site, practical, built around the client's operation rather than a classroom timetable.
Today The TESS Group is an Ofsted Good apprenticeship and training provider working with employers across the UK. Safe and Trained is the part of the group that delivers safety, security and traffic management training: Chapter 8 and NRSWA street works, CSAS and RSAS, spectator and crowd safety, SIA-linked security, first aid and compliance.
Thirty-four years with Thames Valley Police and the Metropolitan Police, including twelve in police learning and development as an assessing officer and a spell as a sergeant. Also delivers speed awareness courses.
