Accredited persons under the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme can be granted powers by the chief officer of police: requiring names and addresses, dealing with anti-social behaviour, confiscating alcohol, directing traffic and more. For a contractor holding a shopping centre, transport or local authority contract it turns a security officer into someone who can act, not just observe. We deliver the NCFE Award in Community Safety Accreditation on site, as a Police Crime Prevention Academy endorsed provider, and have done so for Transport for London since 2015 and for Mitie teams at shopping centres.
The PCPA lists the training companies endorsed to deliver CSAS and RSAS nationally. The TESS Group, trading as Safe and Trained, is one of them, with the programme in place since 2015. If a client asks who trained your accredited persons, the answer is on the PCPA list.
